With the cold winter conditions in central Iowa this year, it was ideal for making an ice rink on our Game Court.
We flooded our 30' x 50' court with 3 inches of ice over a few days. The snow bank helped keep the water/ice contained.
When flooding the court make sure the ice is thick enough to not damage the Sport Court surface underneath! It is best to flood your court when temperatures are at zero or below zero.
Many neighbors enjoyed using the rink. It was the first time skating for a lot of kids! We even enjoyed using the ice rink at night with our light. |
